About

I started making swimwear in 2014 after a trip to one of my favorite fabric stores in the Miami design district. I spotted a pop art themed swimwear fabric and immeditely fell in love! I had always wanted to make swimwear and once I laid eyes on this print I had an “ah ha” moment and knew exactly what to design. The dresses I was selling in my Etsy shop were retro/pinup inspired so I knew I wanted to go in that direction. I made three “extra high waist” bikins over one weekend including the Ka-Pow!! bikini, which is still to this day, one of my best sellers. I just knew that I had a winner with these styles and listed them in my Etsy store. I will never forget the moment when I heard the Ch-Ching sound on my phone. In less than 48 hours I sold my first Ka-pow!! bikini. All I can say is the rest is history. My Etsy store took off and I have the most fond memories of the summer of 2014. I worked day and night to get all of my swimsuit orders out. My mom and my friend from fashion design school would come over and help me cut fabric to keep up with the orders and without them I don’t know how I could have done it all. I was so completely thrilled that my dream of being a fashion designer was coming to life.

In 2015 I moved my workspace from my living room to a co-working space in the Little River district of Miami. The sense of accomplishment was unparalleled and I loved having a dedicated workspace that I got to go to everyday for “work”. Fast forward to 2018, I took a huge leap of faith and moved to New York city. The hustle and bustle of the city is invigorating and I feel inspired every time I step foot out of my apartment. I can now hop on the express train to the garment district and get all of my supplies in one block! This had allowed me to cut my production time in half. I still travel to Miami to visit my mom and to do photoshoots on the beach but NYC is home for now.

Since 2014 I have had the opportunity to make custom swimwear for a variety people - of unique body types, new mothers, breast cancer survivor’s etc. I never dreamed I would have the opportunity to touch people lives in such an intimate way and to receive an email stating “This is the first time in years I have worn a swimsuit” and “you have given me back my confidence” is so rewarding. As a survivor of an eating disorder I truly understand what if feels like to regain your confidence and feel empowered.
